What do stickers have to do with a successful campaign?
By themselves? Not much.
But as a fun extension of the brand, something that enhances engagement and builds on brand equity? Maybe a lot. (Buzzword alert.)
John R. Oishei Children's Hospital just wrapped its Day of Giving, and the WNY community showed up in full force, raising an incredible $589,049. (Let’s go!)
West Herr Automotive Group did its part by running two fundraising campaigns for both our employees and customers, raising $42,017.
So, what does any of this have to do with stickers? (Hang on, I'm getting there.)
Well, as part of our campaign, along with an opportunity to be entered to win some amazing prizes, we offered exclusive bonus stickers for a $34 starting donation.
Did using Josh Allen help? Of course. This is Buffalo.
Were the stickers essential to driving donations? Not really. I’m optimistic, not delusional. Buffalo would have shown up either way. We are, after all, The City of Good Neighbors.
But here’s where I think the stickers did help:
They became a kind of badge that identifies us as neighbors and supporters of this great city. They also extended the West Herr brand beyond the typical and reinforced what we stand for: giving back to our community.
They’re pretty cool, too 😊. Guess which of these was the crowd favorite.
